Q「私はなぜ動物を描き始めたのか」
A「動物を見ていると、不思議と描きたくなる感覚があったからです。他のものは描けないように感じ、動物は描けるように感じました。」
Q「子供のころ、絵は描いていなかったのに今どうして描けるのか」
A「大人になって経験が増えて、昔は見えなかったものが見えるようになってきた気がします。」
Q 「なぜ描き続けているのか」
A「本能みたいなものが目覚めた感じと、人の反応が面白くてやめられなくなりました。人が描いてほしいと依頼してきたり購入してくれたり入選したり入賞したり次のプロジェクトに誘われたり、そうこうしているうちに続けるようになっていました。」
Q「描いているモチベーションは何か」
A「強いモチベーションというより、好奇心に近いと思います。新しいものへの興味みたいな感覚です。」
Q「どうして描き始めたのか」
A「きっかけ自体は偶然みたいなもので、むしろ今も続いていることの方が不思議です。ちょうどコロナのころ（2022年）で、家にいる時間がたくさんできたときです。」
Q「誰かに習ったことはあるか」
A「習ったことはなく、先生もいません。」
Q「賞を取ったことがあるか」
A「最初に応募してみたコンテスト（タヌキの絵を描いて提出した）で、賞を取りました。賞状とおまんじゅうが宅配便で届き驚きました。それ以外にもいくつか賞を頂きました。」
Q「子どものころは描いていなかったのか」
A「授業中にノートへ落書きをしているような子どもでした。」
Q「図工・美術の成績はどうだったのか」
A「他の教科より、ひとつ下くらいだった記憶があります。そのため自分は美術関係にはあまり向いていないと思い込んでいました。」
Q「カラフルな作風に影響を与えた人は誰か」
A「母が洋裁の先生で、子どものころから色や布に囲まれていた影響はあるかもしれません。よく一緒に布地のお店に行き布を選び、他人が着ていないようなカラフルな服を作って もらっていました。」
Q「次の目標は何か」
A「もっと大きな作品や、見た人の記憶に残る作品を作ってみたいです。といいますか、もっと誰でもが気に入ってくれるような作品を作りたいと思います。」
Q「今後やってみたいことは」
A「絵だけでなく、映像や空間も含めて世界観を広げてみたいです。ファッションの世界やジュエリーなどにも興味があります。音楽とのコラボにも興味があります。」
Q「どのあたりを目指しているのか」
A「ジャンルに縛られず、自分にしか出せない空気感を作れたらと思っています。ル・サロンに入選したいと思っています（2026年春現在の目標）と書いておこう。」
SAORI TRIBE: Q&A Interview FAQ（English）
Q: Why did I start drawing animals?
A: Because when I looked at animals, I had a mysterious feeling that I wanted to draw them. I felt as if I couldn't draw other things, but I could draw animals.
Q: Why can I draw now, even though I didn't draw as a child?
A: I feel that as I've grown up and gained more experience, I've begun to see things that I couldn't see before.
Q: Why do I continue to draw?
A: I felt like an instinct had awakened, and people's reactions were so interesting that I couldn't stop. People started asking for commissions, buying my work, and I began winning awards and being invited to new projects. Before I knew it, it became something I just kept doing.
Q: What is my motivation for drawing?
A: I think it's more like curiosity than a strong motivation. It's a sense of interest in new things.
Q: How did I start drawing?
A: The initial trigger was something of a coincidence; it's actually more mysterious to me that I'm still doing it today. It was around the time of the pandemic (2022), when I suddenly had a lot of time to spend at home.
Q: Have I ever studied under anyone?
A: No, I am self-taught and have never had a teacher.
Q: Have I ever won any awards?
A: I won an award in the very first contest I entered, where I submitted a drawing of a raccoon dog. I was surprised when the certificate and some sweets (manju) arrived via delivery. Since then, I have received several other awards.
Q: Didn't I draw when I was a child?
A: I was the kind of child who was always doodling in my notebooks during class.
Q: How were my grades in art class?
A: I remember them being about one level lower than my other subjects. Because of that, I was convinced that I wasn't really suited for anything related to art.
Q: Who influenced my colorful style?
A: My mother was a dressmaking teacher, so being surrounded by colors and fabrics since childhood might have had an influence. I often went to fabric stores with her to choose materials and had her make colorful clothes that were unique from what anyone else was wearing.
Q: What is my next goal?
A: I want to try creating larger works or pieces that stay in people's memories. Or rather, I want to create works that anyone can fall in love with.
Q: What do I want to try in the future?
A: I'd like to expand my creative world beyond painting to include video and spatial design. I'm also interested in the worlds of fashion and jewelry, as well as collaborations with music.
Q: What are my ultimate goals?
A: I hope to create a unique atmosphere that only I can produce, without being bound by genres. My current goal (as of spring 2026) is to be selected for the Le Salon.
